Lynx Pro Audio presents the software OCS 2.0 for cabinet’s online control. OCS obtain detailed information of cabinet behaviour and monitor the cabinet/s in real time through the users PC. The version OCS 2.0 presents important new features: Delay up to 90 ms, Parametric EQ with 6 filters totally configurable, automatic re-synchronization in case of disconnection or feet to meters converter, everything with a new friendly interface.
OCS is designed for users of self powered Ethernet kit incorporated Lynx Pro Audio cabinets. The online control system works via Ethernet (cable or wireless) and once installed it automatically detects all the cabinets connected to the network and displays them in the OCS window on the users PC.
As well as the previous version, with OCS 2.0 you can also change the preset, gain, mute and polarity. You can activate the air absorption compensation and select the SOLO mode. The OCS will be monitoring in real time and the user will be able to view RMS levels, power module temperature, compression and output levels per way, air absorption compensation and cabinet angulation. Everything including the new Delay and EQ features.
OCS 2.0 is now available. Request your cabinets to be supplied with the Ethernet Module kit and check online your audio system with OCS.
Lynx Pro Audio products were exhibited at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt with a big LX-V12 array flown outdoor.

The most recent version of Lynx Pro Audio’s prediction tool, Rainbow Software is now available. The new Version includes the ADP-12 and ADP-12M as well as new & more precise polar measurements for other models.
Developed in-house and continuously improved with feedback from our very active user base, it allows for powerful modelling of simple or complex systems. Anything from a single speaker to full-blown live-sound configuration with mains, fills and delays. Since there is virtually no limit in the number of sources used, large distributed systems for installations can be modelled as well.
High resolution speaker polar data with magnitude and phase information allow accurate modelling down to 30 Hz, enabling predictions of user-designed subwoofer arrays such as cardioid or end-fire arrangements.
Radiation behaviour is particularly critical for the accurate modelling of cardioid system design, so bass cabinets use real measurements across all frequencies. Unfortunately, that requires impractical far-field analysis but it needs to be done.
An innovative feature of Rainbow is a virtual DSP that allows extensive processing of any of the sources. The resulting settings can then be exported for use in Lynx’s range of outboard digital processors. That means we can fine tune the systems in the comfort of the office while sipping our favourite coffee, without the stress of system set-up. Conversely, settings can be imported from a Lynx processor into Rainbow.
Cabinet Updater is the software which enables the users to update DSP presets for all self-powered cabinets by Lynx Pro Audio.
The process is simple: Connect the cabinet by USB to your PC, go to the Lynx Pro Audio website and download the Cabinet Updater. The software will then automatically detects your cabinet hardware and updates the presets to the latest and optimum configuration available.
The Cabinet Updater 2.0 (new version) includes FIR filters for units with the latest hardware version (cabinets manufactured in 2012). The software includes 32 & 64 bit Windows drivers.
Lynx Pro Audio has a simple philosophy: To design and manufacture the most advanced and technologically innovative sound reinforcement available anywhere in the world.
