Lynx Pro Audio line arrays at the Medusa Festival

Medusa Sunbeach Festival, one of the benchmark EDM festivals in Spain with more than 300.000 attendees, has been held once again in Cullera (Valencia). With an spectacular line-up, this festival has welcomed some of the best electronic music DJ’s in the world, including famous celebrities such as Carl Cox, David Guetta, Paco Osuna, Amelie Lens, Dimitri Vegas, among many others.

For 3 days (and 2 days of pre-party), the concerts have continued non-stop between 6 in the afternoon and 7 in the morning. With a huge venue, the artists have been divided into 5 different stages with different music styles: EDM, techno, trap, dubstep or hardstyle.

The company specialized in shows, Maxim Sound, has provided the technical solution for Dragon Heart stage by Pepsi. For the main PA they have opted for LX series line arrays, with 8 LX-V12 enclosures on each side of the stage.

The LX-V12 is a very high output three-way self powered cabinet. With dual LF 12” (4” interleaved sandwich voice coil) neodymium woofers with double demodulating rings, four MF 6.5” transducers with glass fiber cones & ultra-light voice coil and two HF 1.4” neodymium magnet drivers with titanium diaphragm and individual high precision wave guide. DSP (FIR technology) controlled with 4000W amplification, 143dB SPL, built-in inclinometer.

With a very high power to size ratio and with easy rigging options offered the system can be taken from the truck and rigged up in record time. It is also very easy to use and control without the need for any external amps.

The LX-V12 cabinets have allowed a large number of customers to work at full power for years, thanks to their sturdiness and technology, designed by qualified engineers. Nowadays, in the Lynx Pro Audio catalog you will find other powerful and compact options such as the CLS series, which have improved both their external design and their internal technology.

Artists such as Anime, Angerfirst, Broken Minds, Raúl Ortiz, DJ Marta, among others, have performed on the Dragon Heart stage throughout the weekend.

GXR series on the “Concert of Hope” in Cheorwon, South Korea

Korean Singers Association has made a special set up with many well-known Korean singers performing to celebrate the “Concert of Hope”. The event was held the 3rd of July in a drive-in cinema in Cheorwon, South Korea. It was a success, gathering more than 400 cars despite the heavy rain.

This event, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was performed live and streamed through the official Youtube account of Cheorwol townhall. More than 400 people attended the show, meeting all COVID-19 standards.

Withus and Soundphile were responsible for the acoustical set up. They are one of the best companies in South Korea promoting this kind of outdoor events and they always trust in GXR series for their outstanding performance under extreme conditions (such as heavy rain) and their high power levels with a light-weight compact format.

For the PA two line arrays (with 2 GXR-D15A subwoofers and 6 GXR-LA210A cabinets) have been flown on each side of the stage. GXR-12 and GXR-15 cabinets were placed as stage monitors. The GXR-D15A subwoofer is designed to enforce the lower frequencies of the GXR-LA210A cabinets (and their older version, the GXR-LA10A). As for the GXR-LA210A, it is the ideal solution for install projects and live events where a powerful but compact line array is required.

The GXR-12 and GXR-15 are self-powered full range enclosures. They stand out for their high performance, with an excellent power-size ratio. They don’t need to carry an external amplification rack and are ideal for fixed installations and portable applications since its trapezoidal design allows them to function as stage monitors too.

A couple of hours before the concert, a talent show called “Cheorwon Voice Awards” was held, with amateur singers from all over the region, cheering the stage and receiving support from the audience.

The singer Namjin said: “Despite the heavy rain and the concern about covid, I’ve realized how excited the audience was and how they stayed until the end. I’ll always perform in any place of this country as long as there are fans want me to do so”.

Cheorwon is known for being the battlefield of the Korean War. It is a region near to the North Korean border.

Lynx Pro Audio at the Shanghai International Arts Festival

On October 2019, Lynx Pro Audio sound equipment was installed at the 21st edition of the International Art Festival of Shanghai “Arts Bird” and at the 2nd International Piano Music Festival in the historic district of Shanghai, Changning Yuyuan Road, in Zhongshan Park .

During the opening ceremony, the famous Lithuanian pianist Rokas Valuntonis and the “Metis String Quartet” from Lithuania presented a wonderful piano solo and a string quartet to the audience.

In the next performance, the Beijing and Shanghai Symphony Orchestras presented the magnificent song “Ode to the Red Flag”. The adaptation of the piano concert “Ode to the Red Flag” has been authorized by the original author Lu Qiming.

The professional sound technical team that has helped cover the event has been Beijing Xi Ya Linke and they chose Lynx Pro Audio’s sound systems to guarantee a successful performance during the opening of the festival.

In the main field (PA) a total of 16 LX-V12 line array enclosures were flown, divided into two groups on both sides of the stage. The LX-V12 is a very high output three-way self powered cabinet. With a very high power to size ratio and with easy rigging options enabling the system to be taken from the truck and rigged up in record time. It is also very easy to use and control without the need for any external amps.

Also, 8 GXR-LA10A line array enclosures were flown on each side in front of the stage. The GXR-LA10A is a self-powered (Class D), two-way enclosure that delivers high power levels from a very compact format. The system is very easy to use and can be controlled without the need for any external amps too.

For the reinforcement of the low frequencies, 8 LX-318C cardioid subwoofers have been installed on both sides of the stage, divided into groups of 4 sub-bass units. This subwoofer cabinet is the ideal combination where low frequency reinforcement is required for the LX-V12. The LX-318C cardioid cabinet is not a conventional cardioid but a ‘2 in 1’. Because of our sophisticated integrated processor the user can select between omnidirectional or cardiod coverage.

The event was held in front of the Huangpu River.

Professional sound for the Beer Festival in Paysandú

Beer Festival is celebrated since 1996 in the city of Paysandú, Uruguay. This festival is one of the most famous events in the country, takes place during the Tourism Week and is one of the biggest attractions of Paysandú.

This year it was celebrated from April 13 to 21. The event is held in the Amphitheater of Uruguay River, a public summer theater destined to social and cultural shows.

In the surroundings of the Amphitheater, a fair with 250 stands, a food court, a beer square and an amusement park is installed. The Amphitheater has a capacity for 20 thousand people and thanks to its acoustic and architectural properties each year it is renewed as the central stage of Paysandú Beer Festival.

Ganzúa Producciones has been commissioned to carry out this installation and its technical team has decided that the professional sound systems of Lynx Pro Audio were the perfect solution for this venue. A total of 48 line arrays LX-V12 and 10 subwoofers LX-318C have been installed.

In the main field (PA) 24 LX-V12 were flown, divided into 12 LX-V12 placed on the right and left side of the stage, to cover most of the audience. In addition, 10 subwoofers LX-318C have been flown on each side of the stage to cover the low frequencies.

In the side fill, another 24 line arrays have been placed, divided into 12 LX-V12 on each side facing outwards to reinforce the PA sound.

The LX series offers a range of versatile line array systems designed for a variety of applications, from small theaters to large events. The LX series has been designed to achieve high SPL levels with great sound clarity and can be assembled in record time.

The LX-V12 is a very high output three-way self powered cabinet. This professional sound system has a selection of accessories and rigging parts that facilitate the use and installation of the enclosure. The SV-LXV12 flying frame can hold up to 16 cabinets with splay angles selectable in 0.5º increments between 0º to 3º and 1º increments between 3º to 12º.

For low frequencies it is recommended to use it together with the LX-318C cardioid subwoofer, since this is not a conventional cardiod but a ‘2 in 1’. Because of our sophisticated integrated processor the user can select between omnidirectional or cardiod coverage, activating the rear speaker as well as selecting the rear frequency they most want to cancel, increasing the front pressure and directivity and ensuring that rear sound does not spill on to the stage behind the subwoofer.

The Week of Beer is an event for all audiences that has an extensive program and a wide variety of musical genres: rock, cumbia, hiphop, folklore, etc. Several artists have performed there, such as Juan Manuel Serrat, La Bersuit, Cristian Castro, Chayanne, Los Nocheros, Marcela Morelo, Luciano Pereyra, Terra Samba, Diego Torres, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, José Luis Rodríguez, Valeria Lynch, Mariano Mores, Teresa Parodi , Piero, María Martha Serra Lima, María Creuza, José Vélez, Sergio Denis, Soledad, No Te Va Gustar and La Vela Puerca, among others.

That’s the reason Soundphile, our official korean distributor, has chosen the GXR series line arrays and subwoofers. The combination of the GXR-LA10A hanging on both sides of the stage with GXR-D15A and GXR-D18A for the low frequencies reinforcement, make a really powerful combo.

The GXR-LA10A is a self-powered, bi-amplified, two-way, class D enclosure that delivers high power levels from a very compact format. This system is very easy to use and control without the need for any external amps.
