The QB-D8 is a two-way versatile, ultra-compact light weight, passive cabinet offering high performance in a number of applications. The QB-D8 can be used horizontally and is ideal for installations with low ceilings.
It features two 8” low/mid hexacone transducers with rubber surround and a 1” central loaded high frequency compression driver with high tech polymer diaphragm mounted on a 80º x 60º constant directivity ABS horn delivering exceptional dispersion and low harmonic distortion. Hexacone is a composite material made from two layers of Kevlar sandwiching a honeycomb layer of nomex. This extremely light cone is also more rigid and resistant than conventional materials and delivers higher levels of SPL to other speakers. The combination of the hexacone with rubber surround ensures the QB-D8 is one of the most advanced cabinets on the market.
With a wide range of rigging accessories the QBD8 can be used and easily mounted in a variety of applications. A top hat fitting is included as standard for pole mounting with a sub-bass cabinet. It is made from premium birch plywood and coated with high resistant water-based black paint. For low-frequency reinforcement we recommend the QB-D8 be combined with DR-N12, DBP-N15, SB-215, DRN-18 or DRN-218.
